Our Solutions

K. A Parker & Associates specializes in providing products and services to companies comply with legislative or regulatory initiatives, especially those companies that are likely to experience business disruption in the course of complyhing. We provide unique solutions to take our clients from concept through project management, competency assessment, training and e-learning systems and finally to profitable realization of goals. We have served such large clients as Unocal (Union Oil of California), North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, Siemens, Nortel Networks, many medium and small business customers as well as Federal, state and local governments.

What We Do

We focus on providing companies in the private and public sectors with process planning, competency assessment, training gap analysis, training and training delivery systems (e-learning).

We start by developing a map of your business process. To be efficiently managed, an organization must be guided by a map. That map must provide the clear definition of each task involved in completing any given process. By working with people within the organization who know what is happening and what is supposed to happen, we reduce practice (real work) to words. The company is then free to keep, change or modify the written process map to improve the organization's efficiency and strengthen its competitive advantage.

We specialize in:

  • The Parker Process Method -- Process Modeling. Enterprise Business Process Method is a comprehensive discussion with affected individuals to determine and engineer or reengineer “problem” processes, “opportunity” processes or the entire enterprise. This is usually done on a recurring cycle at the customer’s discretion. This product has a process-modeling training capability option, if needed, which enables the customer to be self-sufficient.

  • Competencies. Each position, in an organization should have a Position Description. Generally, people are hired for a job based on how well their work history matches the description of the open position. Competencies detail the skills and knowledge needed to do the job well. With detail comes task clarity and skill deficit. Supervisors and employees know what skills are necessary for a given job. Competency modeling is the art of capturing and documenting the skills and knowledge required for each position.

  • Gap Analysis. Assessing what employees know is necessary to determine if they have the skills and knowledge they need to do the job. If they do not, training will be required. The goal of a training gap analysis is to ensure that the right people get the appropriate training

  • Training and Training Delivery Systems. Not only do we assess the type of training needed, we customize the training to suit our clients' individual needs. We identify who really needs it, and as importantly, who doesn't. We then produce the content and conduct it using conventional or e-learning methods.

  • E-Learning Systems. We can deliver a training program on an Interactive CD, through a Web site customized just for you, or through your intranet, if you prefer. Interactive or e-learning offers a number of advantages over conventional, paper-based training systems. Hands-on interaction tends to provide higher retention rates, and those doing the learning can move through material more quickly, as frequently as they like, and in a way that incorporates a more distinct applicability to real-world situations.
