Kim Parker, President of K. A Parker & Associates, Inc., has announced the release of KAPA Non-Audit Compliance Services, a new and unique set of non-audit products and services for companies that must comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley legislation and regulations.

K. A Parker & Associates, Inc. has developed process model, competency and training gap analysis, training programs and training dissemination and publishing systems to help companies comply with the initiative. It also offers compliance newsletters to keep subscribers current with compliance issues.

"'KAPA Non-Audit Compliance Services' is truly unique," Mr. Parker said. "Our whole approach is predicated on compliance with laws that may be disruptive to the normal conduct of business. Given the noncompliance penalties Sarbanes-Oxley specifies, many executives trying to reach compliance goals find that they have less time to focus on their businesses. We offer them the non-audit specific services that work towards compliance AND provide fast financial and human resources reporting and decisions with assured quality," Mr. Parker said.

The company does not offer specific compliance advice. K. A Parker & Associates works with the client company's legal and audit groups (or outside counsel) to develop processes and training needed to work towards compliance. Using the Parker Process Method and human resource training of executives and financial and human resources employees who need to understand what steps are necessary to comply, accomplishes these goals. While many such process methods often take months to develop, the Parker Process Method takes about two weeks to design.

Mr. Parker sees the company's offering as being unique. "If we offered advice," Parker said, "we would be just be replicating a lot of legal or financial audit services currently on the market. Instead, we offer non-audit services that those companies are barred from offering as specified under Section 201 of Sarbanes-Oxley. We work with those who do provide compliance advice by establishing the processes and methodologies necessary to work towards compliance. The company's products and services run the gamut from establishing processes, the training to go with it--including HR considerations--then deploying the training either conventionally or electronically through a client's intranet or Web site, for instance.
